Vane Shear Apparatus (Geovane)

Compact, portable, and user-friendly, our handheld field equipment
empowers geotechnical engineers and technicians to deliver precise
and relevant shear strength results measured in kilopascals (kPa).
When employed accurately, it is capable of assessing the residual
shear strength of cohesive soils, such as clays and silts.
The 19mm vane blade offers a range of approximately 180 kPa,
with a full range of 170-200 kPa depending on the internal spring.
For the 33mm vane blade, the range is approximately 40kPa.
